Established in 1998 as a private foundation, the Cortland Community Foundation recently converted to a public foundation in an effort to position itself for future growth within the Cortland community. The conversion will allow the Foundation to continue to give much-needed assistance to local agencies now and for many years to come.

Comprising long standing Cortland County residents, the Board of Directors has allocated over $1,000,000 to more than 65 different local agencies since its inception.

We are a charter non-profit member of Leave a Legacy Cortland County and a member of Council on Foundations.
