Girl Scout Council of CNY

A $4,000 grant was awarded to the Girls Scout Council of CNY to build a four-person A-Frame Cabin at Camp Hoover located in the town of Preble. Camp Hoover serves as a year-round leadership development and outdoor education site for children, youth and families. The cabins will expand the camp’s overnight capacity and enhance safety from the elements.

An additional $4,000 was granted in 2008 to support the renovation of Mark Lodge, which is the center of activities at Camp Hoover. The grant will assist in replacing the deteriorated main porch and staircase to the lodge.
